Draft for legal review, July 2026. This notice has been prepared to mirror the equivalent Olayan Group notice and adapted to this website. It has not yet been approved by Olayan legal and is not the final published wording. Passages in square brackets are values Olayan legal is to supply.
This Cookie Notice explains how Al Bustan Business Park uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, why we use them, and the choices you have over them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which explains more fully how we handle personal information, and alongside the Olayan Group Cookie Notice, which covers the group’s own websites.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your choices between visits, and to tell the site’s owner how the site is being used.
Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; only we can read the first-party cookies set by this site. Cookies set by anyone other than the site owner — here, Google — are third-party cookies, and they let that provider deliver the service it supports, such as protecting a form from automated abuse or reporting on site traffic.
Where this notice refers to cookies it also covers similar technologies that do comparable jobs, such as the browser’s local storage.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies for three reasons: to make the site work and remember the language you are reading in, to protect our enquiry form from spam and automated abuse, and — only if you allow it — to measure how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles. This site sets no advertising cookies and no social media cookies, and we do not share the information cookies collect with advertising networks.
The table below lists the cookies in use. It is kept current by our consent management platform, which scans the site and republishes the declaration when it changes, so exact names and durations may vary slightly as third-party providers update their own services.
| Category | Cookie name | Description | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | pll_language |
Remembers whether you are reading the site in English or Arabic, so you stay in that language as you move between pages. | 1 year | Polylang |
| Strictly necessary | OptanonConsentOptanonAlertBoxClosed |
Records which categories of cookie you have allowed, so your choice is applied on later visits and the banner is not shown again. Exact names depend on the consent management platform finally deployed. | 1 year | Consent management platform |
| Strictly necessary | wordpress_logged_in_*wp-settings-*wordpress_test_cookie |
Keep a signed-in editor authenticated and remember their editing preferences. Set only for people who sign in to administer the site, never for ordinary visitors. | Session to 1 year | WordPress |
| Security | _GRECAPTCHA |
Lets Google reCAPTCHA distinguish a person from an automated script, protecting the enquiry form from spam and abuse. | 6 months | |
| Analytics | _ga |
Distinguishes one visitor from another so that visits can be counted. Set only after you allow analytics cookies. | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| Analytics | _ga_XXXXXXXXXX |
Holds the state of your current visit for Google Analytics 4. Set only after you allow analytics cookies. | 2 years | Google Analytics |
Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit the site you are asked which categories of cookie you are willing to allow. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary and security cookies above is set until you agree to it, and analytics cookies stay switched off if you decline them.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie settings control, which is available from every page. Withdrawing consent does not remove cookies already stored, so you may also want to clear them in your browser.
Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies through its own settings, and offers a private browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of this site working properly — the language you have chosen, for example, will not be remembered.
How often will you update this Cookie Notice?
We may update this notice from time to time, for example when the cookies we use change or when the law or regulatory guidance changes. The date at the top of this notice tells you when it was last revised, and we would encourage you to check back from time to time.
Where can I get further information?
